The Hong Kong Lions Club was formed in late 2009 following a chance meeting of a couple of Villa supporters in Hong Kong. The club slowly increased its membership as time progressed, but it was the announcement that Aston Villa would be participating in the Barclays Asia Trophy in July 2011 that really put the supporters club on the map.
Membership is now growing rapidly, and this brand new website will serve as the central point of contact for all Villa fans – not only in Hong Kong, but across the whole of Asia. I look forward to welcoming you all to the club, and here’s hoping Villa will have a successful 2011/12 season.
